For long-haired dogs who are keeping their length, a grooming appointment every 4 weeks helps maintain the shape, prevent matting, and keep everything looking its best. If you prefer a shorter, lower-maintenance cut, every 6–8 weeks works well.

And please remember — long-haired dogs need brushing at home daily, or at the very minimum every other day. Matting doesn't just happen from neglect. It happens from everyday life: walking, running, playing, scratching. Even wearing a harness, leash, or clothing creates friction that leads to tangles in those areas. Always brush from head to tail, all the way down to the skin.
